More characters designs. I'm starting the 6 page intro called Ultimo Ninjas' last match. I'll post thumb to finished penicils. Theses are Ultimo, Reworked Diablo Negro, Danny Atlas, and just the start for the owner. I was reading a wrestling Mag and they had the greats of the sports. So I decided to do that with the characters

Drawing Words Writing Pictures

I'm trying to warm up the ole creative muskels so I can finally get this dang comic started. So I found an awesome book called Drawing Words Writing Pictures. It's a text book for comic making. I'll leave a link at the end of this. Anyway They have a 5 Day syllabus that I'm using. So I thought I'll post as I do each assignment. The day 1 assingments are, draw someone running, a car speeding, a ball falling, someone slipping, and paper blowing in the breeze. The second assignment is to draw 3 scenarios. 1st on is a ball comes thru a kitchen window. The ball flies thru a newspaper someone is reading at the kitchen table. The guy reacts to the ball. 2nd is one person trips another. The person falling knocks a lamp off the table. The person doing the tripping is laughing. Finally the 3rd is two men fighting. One guys throws a rock and hits the other in the face. The guy getting beaned fires a gun that makes a light fall over the first dude. Here are my attemps. Tell me what you think since I am doing this Ronin style. The book does speculate the drawing dont have to be finished. I could have done stick figures. Just get the idea across

More reworks for my wrestling comic

I've tried to finish a drawing a day. By finish I mean enough to if i was to hand it to someone inking it the pencils should be pretty tight. So I've got almost the 1st roster I'm going to use for the first 6 issues

New Junk

Hey here is some new stuff. I've been watching alot oF Hercules and I love that style Disney came up with. The next few drawings are done in that style. I did Jaina and Jacen,( Liea and Han Solos jedi children,) from Star Wars Legacy series. Then I am re working the designs for my booger eaters the 1st is Danny "The Blade" Atlas. I really didnt care about the pose just working on porportions. I would say inks and color coming soon,,,but probably wont,,,LOL

I have been studying a different way to draw and I think It's helped me some,,,What do you think?? They're just quick sketcthing. I was trying to get the action, then the volume,,,,,Glen Vilppu then goes into defining the tones more. I was just trying to incorperate my style into what he was teaching,,,Any feedback

Been A Long Time!!!!!

Been a while since I last posted anything. Well I been teaching my self a new way to draw stuff. I came across a guy by the name of Glenn Vilppu. He used to teach the artist at Disney. Well he has got me to see the figure different and has opened my eyes to alot of things I wasnt getting. I had to re think my whole process for the better. No more action line (which never did it for me personally),,,now it's more analyizing the whole figure and finding where the flow points in the figure are. It has greatly enhanced my ability in a short time I've been studying it. The drawing Manual and lecture videos I HIGHLY reccomend!!!!!!! Ok the jedi's were done when i first got the program and was still figuring it out,,,,The guy sitting was done today,,,review the jedi with my older stuff looks much better. The jedi ink and the guy crayol-erase

Some New Junk!!!!

Here is a couple of drawings I'm working on. The single guy is Capt. Steven Sheard. He took over the Venger mantle when the Masked Avenger disappeared and the original Venger went rogue looking for him.This is a story line I would like to sit down and work out with Kevin. Da vengence project is responsible for the majority of my made up characters. My next drawing is going to be the cover of H.V.H #1 that I will work hard to have the issue finished by the end of the summer.Well thanks for checking out my blog and please send me comments and critiques. I plan on going back to graduate school here real soon. I need to have feed back on my work. So I can toughen up just a bit :)

Well I stopped by the library on my way to the hospital to post some more of my junk. I did a few more of L-3. There is thumbnails of my BoogerEaters comics. Finally still trying to figure out what Gabriel is going to wear in HVH this is a direct rip-off of the Magdalena outfit she wears.

Woa,,,,,,been a long time

Hey It's been a while since I've posted anything new. Work has been hectic and my mother just had a stroke so my plate has been a little on the full side. But what has sitting in an ICU room for hrs afforded me is time to do some drawing. So here we go!!!! This is the 1st super group I've made up since highschool. My kids have been begging me to make drawings of them as superheroes. The 1st will be a team shot. The 2nd is of Gabriel a.k.a AtomicG. He has the power to split atoms and release that in a beam. He contains the power in a field but his hands have to be in gauntlets to protect him. When I eventually ink him and color this the power will remain in black and white. 3rd will be of Ashlyn a.k.a EnfuegA. She is the fire elemental of the group. She has an extreamly hot head to go with. To come later is Robin a.k.a R-Solid. She will be the tank muscle and invunerability. These are just penicils Inks and Color to come.
